Vern Chun, Philip Aw

Philip brings over 30 years of public accounting experience, having worked at a Big Four, mid-tier, and local practice before joining BDO Singapore in 2011.

He currently leads audits for a diverse portfolio range of clients, including both public interest and privately held businesses.  His portfolio spans multinational corporations to local small and medium enterprises across various industries such as professional services, technology, media & entertainment, marine supply and logistics, manufacturing, and trading. 

Philip is an active leader/co-leader of several key practice groups at BDO LLP, including Professional Services, Technology, Media & Entertainment and Transport/Shipping Practice Groups in Singapore.

In addition to his client-facing work, Philip serves as the Sustainability and Net Zero Project Leader.  In this capacity, he is responsible for chartering BDO Singapore's net-zero journey, ensuring alignment with BDO Global commitment to achieve net-zero by 2050 or sooner, as part of the Net Zero Financial Services Providers Alliance.
