The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) closely monitors tax evasion and tax avoidance practices and takes a firm stance against them. Prosecution cases for Income Tax and Goods and Services Tax (GST) have periodically been published in the newspaper to deter undesirable tax arrangements.
